Providing grants to small community projects that make a BIG difference!
Our very first Lintel Soup event will be held on Thursday 21st November at the Bob Allan Conference Centre, NG Homes, Saracen House, Saracen Road, Possilpark, G22 5JW between 12.30-2pm.
It is Lintel Trust’s 40th Birthday and we want to reflect our new, more modern approach by giving something back rather than holding a traditional event. This approach helps us give a funding boost to a grassroots project operating in North Glasgow.
It is a local crowdfunding endeavour, based on the very successful Detroit Soup model. Attendees are invited to join us at lunchtime for a bowl of soup and a ‘vote’ in return for a donation of about £5.
We are actively seeking sponsorship of the event to cover costs and to boost the ‘pot’ for the winning project to take away.
Three local community projects are invited along to give a five minute talk about their work. Once everyone has enjoyed their soup, they can cast a vote for the project of their choice.
The project with the most votes will be awarded all the takings on the day. The other two projects will benefit from raising awareness of their project and the chance to make useful local connections.
We very much hope that the event will bring people together, encourage more collaboration and start discussions about what the local area would benefit from.
If this event is a success we are hoping to hold more in different areas of Scotland.
You can make a donation of your choice or make the recommended minimum payment of £5. Obviously, the more generous you are, the more money is raised for the winning project.
Either pay on the door or guarantee your place by booking you tickets in advance:
