Beatson Cancer Charity announces sell out

Kirkhill Golf Club

Lintel Trust are honoured to be one of the chosen charities alongside the wonderful team at Beatson Cancer Charity for this year’s Kirkhill Golf Club Annual Charity Golf Day, taking place on 19 June 2025.

The event led by the Kirkhill Golf Club Committee will raise vital funds for both incredible charities.  Thanks to a surge in interest and overwhelming community backing, all team spaces have now been snapped up well in advance of the tournament, an early indication of the event’s growing popularity and importance.

The fundraiser sponsored by DMI Fire and Security will see 20 teams from across Scotland compete for the coveted cup. The continued commitment from DMI Fire and Security has been instrumental in arranging this event and generating funds to support good causes within the local community.

Steve Kelly, Chief Executive Officer of DMI Fire and Security, shared his thoughts:

“Supporting events like this is a privilege. At DMI, we believe in giving back to the communities we work in, and we’re proud to play a part in making this day a success. The causes being supported are close to our hearts, and we’re excited to see such strong community enthusiasm.”

The event has also attracted generous backing from local businesses, including Galliford Try and AS Scaffolding, whose shared commitment to community impact and collaboration will influence the day’s success. Their support further demonstrates the powerful role industry can play in fostering local opportunity and goodwill.

Kirkhill Golf Club said “We’re proud to stand behind two remarkable charities and support the essential work they do. It’s an honour to help raise both awareness and funds for these meaningful causes”.

Both Lintel Trust and Beatson Cancer Charity praised the Kirkhill Golf Club Committee for harnessing the power of sport and community to create meaningful change.

Amanda Gauld, Social Value Advisor at Lintel Trust, said:

“We are truly honoured to be recognised from the work that we are doing in and around Scottish housing communities and be part of this incredible event.  Every team entry, every donation, and every act of sponsorship brings us closer to building communities where everyone can thrive. We can’t wait for a day of camaraderie, goodwill, and positive impact.”

Joyce Ross, Partnerships Fundraising Manager at Beatson Cancer Charity, said:

"Beatson Cancer Charity have enjoyed a longstanding partnership with Kirkhill Golf Club and is delighted once again to be part of their annual charity golf day with the Lintel Trust.  It’s fantastic to see continued support from the business community and beyond – every team taking part is helping us make a real difference to patients and their families affected by cancer in the west of Scotland.  We’re looking forward to another great day with plenty of fun, friendly competition, and community spirit."

With every team slot now filled, excitement is building for what promises to be an unforgettable day, a celebration of community spirit, generosity, and making a real difference where it’s needed most.
