Cassiltoun Housing Association Awarded Third Grant

Cassiltoun Housing Association has received its third grant through Lintel Trust’s Recycling Project, supporting community-led environmental action in Castlemilk.

What began as a small step towards greener working practices has grown into a strong local example of how communities can lead positive environmental change. Cassiltoun continues to promote recycling and explore practical ways to reuse materials, helping sustainable habits take root across the area.

Last year, Lintel Trust awarded Cassiltoun an additional £500 to build on this work. Combined with earlier funding, Cassiltoun now has £1,000 available through its Love Castlemilk Live Castlemilk participatory budgeting programme.

The programme’s reach has been strengthened by support from additional funders, bringing the total funding pot for community ideas in Castlemilk to £43,000.

All eligible applications will be presented to local residents, who will decide which projects receive funding. This participatory budgeting approach ensures decisions are shaped directly by the people who live in the community.

Residents with ideas for environmental, creative or community-focused projects are encouraged to contact Cassiltoun Housing Association to find out more.

Lintel Trust is proud to support Cassiltoun Housing Association’s work to encourage local sustainability and community decision-making. We look forward to seeing the next wave of resident-led projects emerge across Castlemilk.
