Lintel Trust Annual Launch a success

Lintel Trust Annual Launch a success

Panellists seated a table in front of delegates

Digital Participation is high on the agenda for housing providers and digital exclusion is a growing problem for many of Scotland's social housing tenants. The event was an opportunity for delegates to share experiences about including and supporting tenants as we move forward into a digital age.

Over 50 delegates attended the event and enjoyed the excellent guest speakers from Carnegie Trust, Scottish Government, SCVO and Wheatley Group.

Delegates took part in a lively panel session which explored the possibilities for a digital future in housing and how organisations can help bridge the digital divide in Scotland's communities.

Robert McDowall, Chairperson of Lintel Trust said:

“Lintel Trust has tracked the development of the digital participation agenda since it was launched by the Scottish Government in 2013. We appreciate the benefits that can be derived by introducing opportunities for those most in need to participate and we have already provided funding to innovative projects in this key policy area. By bringing together those who have a stake in expanding digital participation in some of Scotland's most deprived areas, we have demonstrated that there are opportunities to learn from each other's experiences and hopefully provide a platform to share best practice across the country.

We are keen to bring together those who want to invest in digital participation with those who have projects that they want to develop.”

Lintel Trust would like to thank ng homes for providing the venue and Queens Cross Housing Association for sponsoring the event.
